Are you the first person in your family to go to college? If you answered yes, then you won't want to miss out on the Coalition for College's panel discussion on Nov 19th @ 8pm. This event features admissions counselors who will share their insights on preparing for and succeeding in college and is designed to support students like you!
Seniors, the guidance department will be offering a second college application workshop on Wednesday 11/18 during AOT at 1:00. The virtual meeting link will be on the Guidance Class of 2021 Google Classroom page. Whether you are just beginning applications or have already completed them, we will be reviewing important action steps and providing an opportunity for questions. We hope to see you there.
The Massachusetts State Universities are excited to invite you to their Virtual College Fair and College Panel. This event is one night only, November 19.
During this event, there will be an opportunity to meet with, hear from, and ask questions of all nine Massachusetts State Universities.
This event is an open style college fair, where visitors can move at their own pace, in and out of virtual rooms to meet with admission reps from each campus. For more information or to register click the link below.

Cape Cod Community College has launched a new Digital Badge Program. The college is offering four Digital Badges, with the first two beginning in early December. Each Badge Program is offered online with support and coaching from a 4C’s instructor, specifically geared toward High School students to supplement a first time resume, enhance a college application, and build their online badge portfolio!
CCCC is hosting two (free) virtual information sessions: November 18th at 3PM and November 19th at 6PM. If high school students participate in an information session, they are eligible to receive a $50 discount per badge! Information sessions are free of charge, pre-registration is required: www.capecod.edu/badges. Students must attend one of the information sessions to receive the $50 discount code to enroll in a Badge Program.

1. Intercultural Fluency (Dec. 2 – Dec. 16, 2020) Intercultural fluency in the 21st century includes the capacity to operate and communicate in different cultural contexts. Individuals who are fluent interculturally exhibit these core four sub-competencies: recognize and challenge their own cultural biases; show curiosity; demonstrate self-awareness; and incorporate diverse perspectives.
2. Resilience (Dec. 7 – Dec. 21, 2020) Resilience in the 21st century includes the capacity to learn from experience and the capacity to adapt. Resilient individuals exhibit four core sub-competencies: learn from experience; exhibit flexibility; demonstrate self-awareness; and focus on solutions.
3. Initiative (Jan. 6 – Jan. 20, 2021) Initiative in the 21st century includes self-efficacy and the capacity to identify needs and respond proactively. Individuals who exercise initiative show four core sub-competencies: self-awareness, learning from both “failure” and “success” as opportunities to learn and develop. They lead without an official.
4. Collaboration (Jan. 11 – Jan. 25, 2021) Collaboration in the 21st century includes the capacity to work productively with different individuals and groups toward a common goal. Effective collaborators exhibit four core sub-competencies: ability to strengthen relationships; incorporating diverse perspectives; using active listening skills; and focusing on solutions rather than problems.

Are you thinking about applying to CCCC for Fall 2021? If so, mark your calendars for Dec 16th @ 1:00pm for a virtual information session.
