Bourne High School is excited to announce it has adopted MEFA Pathway as students' official digital college and career planning platform. MEFA is the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority. MEFA is "your not-for-profit, state authority dedicated to helping Massachusetts students and their families plan for a successful future." Students, parents, and counselors all share access to accounts.
Beginning in grade 9, counselors meet with classes to help students set up their accounts, get an introduction to the platform, and engage in goal setting. Students continue to participate in MEFA's grade-level sequenced activities through coursework in Career Readiness and supplemental guidance department workshops. MEFA is also home to helpful college and career planning resources, webinars, and scholarship information.
