There will be a College Application Workshop for seniors on Tuesday, September 18th during Enrichment. All seniors are welcome and can sign up online that week. We will be going through the application process step by step and answering any questions you have along the way. Seniors who are applying early are strongly encouraged to attend.
Class of 2019,
You are just days away from being seniors--congrats! We wanted to provide you with a few important details regarding SATs before your summer break begins.
First, a reminder that we will be hosting the new August SAT date this year. The exam will be held on Saturday, August 25th at 8:00 am at Bourne High School. The deadline to register is July 27th and students can access the registration through their online College Board accounts. This is a great opportunity for any students who plan on applying Early Action or Early Decision to colleges as you will have your scores back in plenty of time for those early deadlines.
We also have another new SAT opportunity available this coming 2018-2019 school year. Traditionally students in grades 9-11 have taken the PSAT during the school day in October. This year, we are adding an SAT school day option for seniors as well. What this means is that all seniors will be taking the SAT during the school day on Wednesday, October 10th. You will not need to register for this test administration and more importantly, you will not need to pay for it either! It will count as an official SAT and can be used for college admissions purposes.
We will also still be offering traditional Saturday test dates in October and November for those interested.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your guidance counselor for more information.
At this point we have visited all senior English classes to distribute 3 forms that seniors need to fill out before they leave us :( Just a reminder to have these forms and any necessary supporting documentation in to the guidance office by next Friday, May 18th. If you need another copy of anything, please stop by the guidance office. Thank you.
